Frequently Asked Questions
Do I really need therapy? I can usually handle my problems on my own.
In therapy, it's all about you. You can talk about anything you want and feel heard and supported without being judged in any way. Therapy gives you time and space to collaborate on your goals and gain practical tools to help you heal and grow.
What is therapy like? What should I expect?
We will start with a 15 minute consultation to get to know each other and determine if we are a good fit to work together. From there, in our 50 minute therapy sessions we work collaboratively to set goals, process life events, and work towards living the life you want.
How long will I need to come to therapy?
It depends on the needs of each individual person and the nature of the problems they are experiencing. Some need a few weeks or months, while others may need years. Success of the therapy experience depends greatly upon the client's diligent engagement in the process and willingness to enact change in their individual situations. The therapeutic relationship is collaborative and the client has to be openminded and receptive to achieve desired success with counseling goals.
Do you prescribe medication?
No. If it is observed that medication can help, client will be encouraged to seek medical professionals: Conventional doctors, Holistic, Naturopathic, Psychiatrist. Clients are educated on the benefits of a healthy self-care, diet, vitamins, supplements, quality patterns of sleep and exercise, which all contributes to physical, mental, and emotional health.
Do you accept insurance?
Insurance payments are not accepted. Accepted forms of payment include: Cash, Checks, Credit Cards, HSA, FSA, and Loveland Foundation Therapy vouchers.
